(1) Screw jack: A jack that uses a screw or a lifting sleeve driven by the screw as a rigid jacking component.
(2) Rack jack: A jack that uses a rack as a rigid jacking component.
(3) Hydraulic jack: A jack that uses a plunger or a hydraulic cylinder as a rigid jacking component.
